2016 Off-Season Project

Rockford Robotics uses the Off-Season to recruit members, learn new skills, and address team and shop needs. During summer and fall 2016, we taught new students shop skills by building a “rookie bot.”  This ‘bot consists of a simple drive train and a one-function operator. By designing and building it, students learn construction, programming, and electrical skills.

Other recent projects include organizing our new shop space — we moved in just as the 2016 build season started – and design and building a new pit.
