The robot is approaching completion… which is a good thing the construction deadline is 11:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21.
This week our build teams have been joining the upper frame to the drive chassis, mounting special systems and the electric boards to the frame, and wiring electronics.
Student programmers have completed the pseudo code and robot requirements. They are now using LabView, a graphical based programming language, to create a program to instruct the robot to navigate the field, pick up “fuel”, and hang gears.
The programmers have to coordinate with the build teams to understand all the logic, i.e., movements, required for the robot to complete each specific task.
